Semi-Truck flooring has holes from bolts every 14" or so and some of the end pieces have five staggered bolt holes. The planks are usually made of hard oak, which make their appearance similar to butcher block wood. The condition and colors vary from piece to piece, while the ends usually show a butcher block appearance.

This type of wood has great durability from being harvested and processed decades ago, which you can’t find in new lumber.  Its dense grain along with being from old growth, reclaimed wood is much harder and much more durable as compared to new lumber. New wood contains sapwood that's less dense since it normally comes from younger trees, which also contain larger, looser knots and higher moisture content, which makes it more prone to bending, warping and twisting. Reclaimed semi-truck trailer flooring wood is also more dimensionally stable and a lot easier to work with.
